Born March 23, 1953, Bruce Charles Bedford passed away peacefully in his Toronto home on July 7, 2026.

For 25 years, Bruce was a loving husband to Remy Lapena, who predeceased him in March 2025. He was the son of the late Marion Edwina (née Lambden) and Charles Gordon Bedford, and the brother of the late Gordon L. Bedford. Bruce was a loving and supportive uncle to Dianne (Nina), Erin, Michael (Caitlin), Jeanine and Michael.

Though Bruce lived in Toronto, he often visited his Fenelon Falls cottage. He loved being outdoors and gardening. Bruce loved his family and videography – particularly special family moments. He was an avid, lifelong fan of the Argos and the Maple Leafs. He loved all things Garfield; he's adopted many black cats over his life. Bruce was a thoughtful, cheerful, and loving man. His laugh and bright smiles were infectious! He was a loyal and caring friend and neighbour, putting others' needs ahead of his own.

Bruce will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in Markham (8911 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON L3R 5G1) on Friday, August 7 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
