In her 92nd year, Barbara Louise Gartner (neé Moore) passed peacefully on June 27th, 2026. Beloved wife to Michael Gartner (predeceased 2008), Loving Mother to Linda Thompson, Grandmother to her pride and joys Marc (Carlene), Danielle, and furry four-legged granddaughter Biscuit. She is dearly missed and remembered by them and all of their families.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents James and Gretta (nee Pennington) Moore.

Barb lived a life filled with simple pleasures and deep devotion. She found great joy in the quiet arts of baking, cooking, and knitting, often sharing her talents with those she loved. An avid reader and passionate gardener, she found peace in nature, especially while watching the boats pass through the locks. Above all, Barb was deeply faith-driven and a devoted member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.

In her later years at the nursing home, she enjoyed the game show channel, making crafts, attending bingo, musical events and church. She made many friends amongst the residents and staff. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Case Manor for their love and care of Barbara.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 8th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Hendren Funeral Home- Monk Chapel, 6 Helen St, Bobcaygeon. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday July 9th at 11:00am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 18 Need St, Bobcaygeon. A private family inurnment will follow at Verulam Cemetery.
