Advocate: Where in Kawarthas Lakes do you live and for how long? 

Alfred: I live in Lindsay and have lived here most of my life except for a few years spent living abroad.

Advocate: What makes Kawartha Lakes feel like home to you?

Alfred: The people I know and have met over the years. Friends and family/roots are here

Advocate: What's something that the community needs?

Alfred: More Sports events and recreation centres. Our community is growing – more houses and not enough schools and only one recreation centre.

Advocate: What's one thing that you would change about the community if you could?

Alfred: I would have more places for the youth to go and hang out, play sports. Also, more bars as everyone goes to Peterborough and Whitby and Barrie.
