KLPS seek community input for new strategic plan
The Kawartha Lakes Police Services Board and the Kawartha Lakes Police Service are inviting residents and businesses to share input as part of the development of a new strategic plan that will guide policing in Kawartha Lakes over the coming years.
Community members can participate through the online survey and/or by attending an in-person community pop-up event. Both engagement opportunities will help inform priorities, resource planning, and alignment with the updated Community Safety and Policing Act.
The online survey is open from Jan. 13, to Feb. 13, 2026. Responses are collected anonymously.
The community pop-up event will take place on Jan. 19, with drop-in opportunities throughout the day at Fleming College (Frost Campus), Kent Place Mall, and the Lindsay Recreation Complex from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Good for KLPS for seeking input from the public. I filled out the online survey and I found it one of the very best I’ve filled out in recent years. It asks for qualitative as well as quantitative data so they are getting original input instead of the skewed data that too many surveys seek. Good on KLPS for this!
