Entered into rest surrounded by her family at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay ON, on Thursday April 9, 2026 at the age of 89. Marg was the beloved wife of Donald Algar for 67 years before his passing in 2023. Marg was the loving mother of Chris Algar and Cathy Algar and predeceased by daughter Madeline “Bunny” Deegan, son Ted Algar and daughter-in-law Janice Algar. Marg is survived by her sister Rose Mary Quibell, daughter-in-law Marlene Algar, sisters-in-law Pat Hogan and Doris Algar. Cherished by her grandchildren Shannon (Adam), Jessica (Ryan), Chad (Amanda), Shawn (Lyndsey), Jena-Lyn (Neil), Kristen (Dave), and Cayley (Kai) also her great grandchildren, Callie, Lexie, Kellen, Wesley, Lucy, Spencer and Myles. Predeceased by her brother Pat Hogan and brother and sister in laws Don Quibell, Hope Begley (Jack), Mac Algar (Lynn), Bette Hutcheson (Dennis), Walter Algar, Madeline Porter (Ray), Shirley Algar, Jack Algar, Pat Godding (Gary), Barbara Jane Algar.

Visitation was held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Friday April 17, 2026. Interment of cremated remains at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
