Dr. Fraser Barratt accepts family practice in Fenelon Falls
The Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative (KLHCI) and the Kawartha North Family Health Team (KNFHT) are pleased to announce that Dr. Fraser Barratt has accepted the practice of Dr. Hor Ven Zung, effective Dec. 1, 2025. Barratt will practice in Fenelon Falls.
Barratt completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences at the University of Edinburgh in 2015. He then completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Edinburgh in 2018. This August he completed his GP training in Edinburgh.
“I look forward to meeting all the patients who will be under my care, and my wife and I are very excited to build a home in the Kawartha Lakes” said Barratt, in a press release.
Barratt will be accepting all patients of Zung so is unable, at this time, to accept any new patients to the practice.
“I feel privileged that Dr. Barratt has chosen to take over my practice. I know that my patients will be pleased to have their medical needs addressed by a well-trained and kind physician. I want to welcome him and Cassidy to the Kawarthas and him to my practice with the Kawartha North Family Health Team,” said Zung.
“KLHCI’s Board of Directors and Recruitment & Retention Coordinator are very pleased with the recruitment of Dr. Barratt. He is the first recruit through KLHIC’s new International Recruitment program. KLHCI sincerely wishes to thank Dr. Zung for the many years of care to her patients, the Kawartha Lakes community, and many hours assisting KLHCI’s overall recruitment efforts,” said Stacey Gudmundsson, KLHCI chair in a press release.
Marina Hodson, KNFHT Executive Director states, “We are so pleased to have Dr. Barratt joining our team and to continue providing services to all Dr. Zung’s patients without disruption,” said KNFHT Executive Director, Marina Hodson.
