Little Britain residents will soon have to travel to Lindsay for groceries. As first reported in the Advocate's social media feeds, the village’s Foodland store is closing for good as of March 16, after Sobeys, its parent corporation, decided not to renew its lease with the owner of the property.

Prior to Foodland’s tenure, the store was known for decades as Casey’s IGA, and many longtime residents hold special memories of the business at 1043 Little Britain Road.

A farewell to this staple of downtown Little Britain takes place on March 2 from Noon to 4 p.m.
