  Hi Linda, the LDCC's boundary does not include Ward 3. The Advocate will be hosting a 'Coffee and Conversations' at The Locker by the Falls in Fenelon Falls on Oct. 6 from 6:30-8 pm. It will be a chance to mingle and meet the candidates.

  Michelle, you will have the opportunity to directly ask questions to candidates in the meet and greet portions of the evening. Questions are being solicited from members so it will have a business/economics focus for the Q&A portion, which is to be expected from a Chamber event.

  September 22/2014 (LINDSAY) City of Kawartha Lakes mayoral candidate Bill Denby is facing more charges after police investigated an alleged threat to cause harm to a Lindsay resident last week. Kawartha Lakes Police say the investigation began on Sept. 18 and Mr. Denby, 56, of Cameron was arrested on Monday (Sept. 22) after turning himself in to police. He is charged with uttering a threat to cause bodily harm and breach of a recognizance to keep the peace. On Sept. 15, Mr. Denby was charged with criminal harassment after a former tenant in a house he owns in Lindsay alleged he has continually harassed the family over their differences. Mr. Denby told This Week the charge is a result of his former tenant becoming angry when he told her he was putting the house up for sale. He has been going to great lengths to slander fellow candidates, name drop city staff, and make up lies to suit himself. When called out on his outrageous behaviors he makes sure to block you on Facebook so you can no longer call him out. I for one am tired of being disregarded by candidates. It's time for these candidates to understand that they work for the constituents of COKL
