Women in Business Profile: Liz Grimes
Liz Grimes was born and raised in Lindsay, and brought her own family up here. It was 20 years ago that she fulfilled her dream of owning her own business.
But her love of fashion was cultivated back in Grade 12 when she took the co-op program at LCVI. As a result, she ensures she regularly takes on co-op students as a way to give back and invest in young women’s lives. “One former co-op student, Kayla, is now our Assistant Manager,” says Liz.
Liz was motivated to get into this business from her mentor, Catherine Allan (Thistle). So powerful was her influence Liz named her store after Allan.
“I love that wherever I go in our beautiful town I call someone by name. I look forward to work every day.”
