Victoria Manor restricts visitors
In order to provide the highest level of protection to residents, effective today, Saturday March 14, Victoria Manor in Lindsay will be implementing limited visiting to the home as directed by the Government of Ontario. Essential visitors are those who have a resident who is very ill or dying.
These visitors must continue to be actively screened into these settings. Those who fail screening will not be permitted to enter. No other visitors should be permitted to enter these premises, instead they should be asked to keep in touch with loved ones by phone or other technologies, as available.
Anyone who enters Victoria Manor will continue to go through active screening. That includes team members, essential visitors, physicians, essential contractors, private companions.
Tours for prospects can continue with screening and distancing from other residents (no participation in meals or programs). New residents can move in again with screening.
Private companions, physicians and other providers of service to residents such as hairdressers can enter with screening.
As well, residents can go to essential external appointments but should not go to social gatherings.
Victoria Manor will continue to review this situation on a daily basis.
