Being a retired teacher I enjoyed seeing some of my colleagues recognized by these awards. I realize choosing recipients is always difficult in these scenarios and yet there are literally hundreds of teachers and support staff who make a world of difference in children’s and family’s lives who are rarely praised let alone recognized. At the least, I think it would be good to see the entire list of nominees for each category. That way recognition can occur for all the people nominated. After all, they wouldn’t be nominated if they weren’t doing a great job.
Hi Don. The only category names not mentioned in the story were ‘character award winners.’ That list was very long and can be accessed at the link at the end of the story.
