The Grove Theatre is excited to announce that Nicole Myers-Mitchell has been hired as general manager.

A new experience in Fenelon Falls, The Grove Theatre hopes to combine the atmosphere of a tree-lined setting and community feel of the Kawartha Lakes with the commitment to quality that Myers-Mitchell brings to the growing family of theatre staff, volunteers, donors and community members.

Myers-Mitchell, who will be relocating to Fenelon Falls with her husband and two-year-old son, brings with her a theatre background with experience in artist management, fundraising, event planning and marketing. Most recently, Myers-Mitchell worked as the associate producer at Roseneath Theatre in Toronto.

“We are all very excited by the appointment of Nicole to The Grove Theatre,” expresses Tim Wisener, co-founder of The Grove Theatre. “Nicole’s experience in arts leadership and administration is exactly what the organization needs to continue its growth. Nicole’s passion for the good the arts can do is infectious and her excitement about living in a small town made her the perfect fit for the organization.”

Myers-Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Windsor and has previous experience as the development coordinator and then manager of corporate development and special events for Opera Atelier, as well as the managers of communications and enrichment at Volcano Theatre and Peggy Baker Dance Projects. She has also acted as producer and then general manager for Shakespeare in the Ruff’s 2014 and 2015 seasons.

For their first season in summer of 2021, the The Grove Theatre will present a musical production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
