Somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge police catch wanted man
Somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge, a hot footed Kawartha Lakes Police officer got his man after a foot chase ended in an arrest Sunday morning.
The incident started shortly after 10:30 am on March 11, when officers spotted a man who was known to them to be wanted on outstanding charges.
When the man saw the police cruiser, he ran from a vehicle he had been in. Officers took up the chase on foot at the end of Water Street and continued to pursue the man over the Rainbow Bridge where they eventually caught up with him and took him into custody.
The man was returned to Kawartha Lakes Police where he was detained in custody.
43-year-old Matthew Cork of no fixed address will appear for a bail hearing in the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice March 12 to answer to two charges of failing to comply with a probation order.
