Okay…one, two, tree…Lift!

Lindsay’s Optimist Club was in full unloading mode this past weekend in front of Canadian Tire Lindsay, setting up for its annual Christmas tree sale. Its inventory of hundreds of fir and spruce trees were grown near Barrie – a fact the club likes to stress, since many live Christmas trees for sale in the area arrive from the U.S. or Nova Scotia.

The club’s trees range in price from $40 to $50, with minis available for $25. The annual fundraiser is one of the Optimist’s biggest, with all proceeds going to area youth programs.
