Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Thursday, December 18, 2025, Fay O’Neill (née Butts) passed away in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of the late Michael “Oswald” O’Neill (October 14, 2016). Loving mother of Shawn O’Neill of Bobcaygeon, Stephen O’Neill and his wife Karen of Lindsay, and Glen O’Neill and his wife Tracey of Downeyville. Fay was predeceased by her daughter June O’Neill (2004) and her son Michael O’Neill (2012).

Cherished grandmother of Jason (Lori), Andrew (Lucas), Cora (Mike), Megan (Nick), Richard (Ashley), Bryan (Shaina), and Brenden (Abby), and proud great-grandmother of Lucas (Dessie), Adyson, Seth, Greer, Hallie, Jacie, Greycen, Cillian, and Everett. She was predeceased by her great-grandson Jackson (2011).

Fay was predeceased by her brother Bill, and two sisters June and Helen. She will be dearly missed by her cousin Barb Craig of Young’s Point, and fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and friends Judi O’Neill of Downeyville and Bev Byrne of Ottawa.

The family of Fay O’Neill received friends at Stoddart Funeral Home, on Monday, December 22, 2025.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at St. Luke’s Cemetery.
