It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aileen "Victoria" Booth, on October 28, 2025 at Lakeland Village Retirement Home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lindsay on December 16, 1928, Victoria was the eldest of nine children. Born to Elva Luella McGinnis (née Sholar), and William John McGinnis. Predeceased by her husband Melville Leslie Booth, married for 72 years.

Predeceased by sisters; Doris Villeneuve (Ernie), Verna Patterson (Claude), Ila Holmes, Evelyn Kane, brother-in-law, Howard Shaw.

Lovingly remembered by Audrey Shaw, Lorna Bowler (Ray), Lloyd McGinnis (Carolyn), Judy (Mike Ferrey), and brother-in-law Gerald Kane.

She was the 'Aunt Vic' to her many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces, and nephews.

Victoria worked at Horns Woolen Mill, National Textile Company, and the Canadian Shirt and Pajama Company for 40 years. She volunteered at Community Care for 28 years as a driver and also delivered Meals on Wheels, the Ross Memorial Hospital giftshop, the Mission Store, worked at Kawartha Jewelers, and was an active member of the Fairview Baptist Church.

A visitation was held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Friday, November 7th from 2:30pm - 4:30pm, and 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A Service took place at Fairview Baptist Church, on Saturday, November 8th from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm. A private family interment followed at Riverside Cemetery. A light luncheon will follow at the Fairview Baptist Church lower hall.

A special friend to Bonnie Cobourn and friends at Lakelands Village. A heartfelt Thank You to RNs, RPNs, and PSWs staff at Lakelands for the love and special care they all gave Victoria during her time there.

If desired, donations may be made to the Heritage Christian School via cheque through the funeral home.
