New doctor in Kawartha Lakes starting Oct. 1
Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative (KLHCI) is announcing there is a new doctor in town. Dr. Mike Gogan will begin practice in Lindsay with Doctors Anderson, Hainer, Wilson and Ready, as of Oct. 1.
Dr. Gogan received his medical degree from Dalhousie University in 2014 and completed his Family Medicine Residency, also at Dalhousie University, in 2016. Dr. Gogan will be accepting new patients through Health Care Connect. If you are not currently registered with Health Care Connect contact them directly at 1-800-445-1822.
Dr. Gogan and his wife, Dr. Kristen Ralph, are the proud parents of two daughters and they are looking forward to raising their family in the City of Kawartha Lakes. “I am looking forward to getting to know my patients, along with exploring all that the City of Kawartha Lakes has to offer to our family”, states Dr. Gogan. Dr. Ralph will begin her
practice early in 2019 and further details will be available then.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Gogan and his family to facilitate this recruitment. I look forward to continuing to assist them as they settle into our community,” states Cindy Snider, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for KLHCI. Barbara van der Veen, President of KLHCI, states that, “KLHCI is thrilled to welcome Dr. Gogan and Dr. Ralph, and their family, to the City of Kawartha Lakes and we wish them many years of satisfaction, both personally and professionally, within our community.”
Dr. Gogan will join the doctors of the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team. Local doctors work with the team’s nurse practitioners, family health nurses, dietician, pharmacists, psychologist, clinical social workers, occupational therapist and respiratory therapist to provide patients with complete health care. The family health team also partners with local health organizations and offers a variety of health programs designed to help keep residents healthy.
“We are very pleased Dr. Gogan is joining our family health team,” states Dr. Eric Ready, chairman of the board of the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team.
“His patients will have access to all our team’s other health professionals in order to help Dr. Gogan to provide the highest quality of care.”
KLHCI is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to recruit and retain family doctors for the City of Kawartha Lakes. KLHCI is directed through the work of a volunteer board of directors that is actively engaged in attracting new Board members from the community.
