Mike Perry to speak about Metis history, identity at Lindsay Canadian Club

By Lindsay Advocate

The Lindsay Canadian Club returns to in-person meetings at the Lindsay Legion for its final event of the 2021-2022 season on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022: “Tales from a Métis Son,” with guest speaker Mike Perry.

Perry will be speaking about Métis history and identity, and his own story, in an informative and interactive chat. Out of an abundance of caution, the Club is asking that those attending be masked at all times, unless seated and drinking a beverage. The Vimy Room at the Legion will also be set up in such a way as to facilitate physical distancing.

Bar service will be available, as will coffee and tea. Non-members can purchase tickets on the website. Tickets for this event are $10 ($5 for students), and a season’s membership can still be purchased for $50 ($25 for students). The meeting begins at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm).
