Man arrested after stolen credit card used for home delivery
A Lindsay man was arrested and charged yesterday after it was discovered that a lost credit card had been used to make a number of purchases in town — including a home delivery service.
On Oct. 16 someone reported to Kawartha Lakes Police to report that they had lost one of their credit cards the day previous. Since that time the ‘tap’ feature of the card had been used to make a number of purchases around Lindsay. One of the purchases made was to a home delivery service, which led police to identify the suspect.
Jean-Marc Caissie, 41, was arrested and charged with six counts of unlawful use of a credit card, unlawful possession of a credit card and failing to comply with a probation order. He will appear in the Lindsay Court of Justice on Nov. 23.
