Man arrested for assaulting roommate  

On May 13 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received the report of an assault that occurred at a residence in Lindsay.

The victim informed police that he was punched in the face by another man who was also staying at the same rental unit.

On May 15 members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service located the man who was responsible for the assault.

The man was arrested and has been held in custody to attend a bail hearing.

Charged with one count of assault and one count of failing to comply with a probation order is a 33-year-old Lindsay man.

The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
