Lindsay man arrested for theft

Late last week an employee of a Kent Street west store in Lindsay observed a man leave the business with merchandise concealed under his coat.

The employee alerted Kawartha Lakes Police Service to the theft and an officer located the male a short distance from the store.

Now, 21-year-old Jeremy Donnelly of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a probation order.

The accused will make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 1.
