KLCFDC providing new funding workshops
The Kawartha Lakes CFDC will be providing two funding workshops for business and community innovation projects that may be seeking financial assistance through the Government of Canada’s new Community Economic Development and Diversification funding stream.
“The workshops are designed to help businesses and community organizations better understand just what this new funding stream can support in terms of fostering innovation, supporting technology adoption and improving digital connectivity in Kawartha Lakes, said KLCFDC General Manager Andrew Wallen.
“These innovations should help local businesses in developing sustainable job creation, delivering increased sales, strengthening competitiveness and providing for business expansion—potentially by creating access to new markets. Community Innovation projects should also have the capability to deliver in similar ways.”
Up to $100,000 in a non-repayable contribution may be available to applicants who can provide the required matching support. Applications are available on-line at www.KLCFDC.com and you may also contact the KLCFDC at 705-328-0261, extension 27 for more information.
The workshops take place on Monday, May 13 at 4:30 pm upstairs at the Lindsay Recreational Complex at 133 Adelaide Street South; and on Tuesday, May 14 at 5:15 pm at the Bobcaygeon Service Centre, 123 East Street South.
