Kawartha Lakes to receive $5 million in infrastructure funding from Province
This year, Kawartha Lakes will receive more than $5 million to address their local infrastructure needs through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF), for things like road repairs, bridges, water, and wastewater infrastructure.
“Ontario’s small, rural, and northern communities, including many in our riding, are essential to the growth and prosperity of the province,” said MPP Laurie Scott, Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock.
Scott then tied the infrastructure funding to fighting inflation.
“The government is continuing to counter rising inflation by providing stable funding to meet local infrastructure needs and support the creation of new jobs. By supporting key infrastructure projects locally, we are helping to grow and build safer, more resilient communities for years to come.”
