Kawartha Lakes Retirement Residence: Paddle project

Inspired by this quote, Meghan Kuipers, a guest attendant at Kawartha Lakes Retirement Residence painted a paddle to display in downtown Bobcaygeon to support the Vibrant Village project.

The face she chose was not a senior she knew personally, but his warmth spoke to her and reminded her of the seniors she interacts with daily.

Meghan says that the quote’s meaning relates to the residents at Kawartha Lakes Retirement Residence because “they don’t let their age hold them back from doing things for themselves, being who they are, and embracing their independence.”
