Kawartha Lakes offering photography classes this spring
Digital camera technology can be overwhelming. The municipality of Kawartha Lakes is pleased to offer two new photography courses this spring to help you get ready to take the perfect picture.
An Introduction to Digital Photography class will be offered beginning April 4 and will run for eight weeks. In this class, participants will learn how to properly use their digital single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras and improve their pictures.
This hands-on class will cover all aspects of camera operations and settings, exposure, lenses and flash settings, shot composition and valuable tips and tricks. Classes will take place on Thursdays from 7 pm to 8 pm at the Lindsay Recreation Complex. Cost is $120 plus tax per person.
An Introduction to Photographing Flowers workshop will take place on Saturday June 15 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Victoria Park Armoury, Lindsay. In this workshop, participants will learn the art of taking great pictures of flowers using nothing more than natural light. Subjects include how to shape and control light, pose flowers and much more! Cost is $45 plus HST per person.
