  • Promote, sell and deliver all investment products and services, including third party mutual funds
  • Contribute towards the growth of the investment portfolio by attaining individual goals and objectives
  • Assist with the development of business opportunities to establish a profitable investment portfolio within the corporate objectives of the credit union
  • Identify and generate sales opportunities; cross sell all Credit Union products and services and participate in sales programs, telemarketing and initiatives to attain individual, branch and organizational goals
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with members and third-party providers
  • Monitor the renewal of maturing investments, ensuring that members receive appropriate notice, advising them of alternative options and assisting them with renewals. Contact members when the products have not been renewed or will be transferred out, to discuss options with them

Qualifications Required

  • Post-secondary education with emphasis in Business Administrator/Financial Planning
  • Three to five years of experience in dealing with all areas of Investments
  • One to three years of management and/or supervisory experience would be an asset
  • Active and in good standing Mutual Funds License
  • A Financial Planning Designation – CFP (or willingness to work towards)
  • Licensed to sell Canadian Securities or Labour Sponsored
  • Venture Capital products (or willingness to achieve)
  • Branch Compliance Officer Course (or willingness to achieve)
  • Expert and up-to-date knowledge of Investment, insurance and pension markets, keeping informed of developments and trends
