In demand careers and the local labour market
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is hosting two information sessions about in-demand careers and the local labour market.
Sessions will take place online on Oct. 29th and Nov. 12 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Labour market information analyst, Sean Dooley, will present the latest local labour market data, including the top 10 jobs and skills in demand for Northumberland, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton. He will also share information about multiple resources available for job seekers and employers.
“I’m excited to share this up-to-date information,” says Dooley. “There are many individuals out there looking for jobs, second careers, or simply local statistics. This material can assist them in learning about the jobs in-demand in our region, as well as resources to help accommodate their needs.”
“The WDB is pleased to be able to provide a complimentary virtual event to share the local labour market information that we have available that highlights career opportunities in the region,” shares Jennifer Lamantia, CEO of WDB. “We are fortunate to have the in-house expertise of an analyst who clearly communicates and presents this data.”
