Handbags for Health event for Community Care

Handbags for Health (formally Handbags for Hospice) is Community Care’s premier event and offers an evening of fun, fashion and fundraising.

Held on Jan. 26 this year at the Lindsay Armoury from 6-11 pm, this is a girls’ night out event which brings more than 250 women together.

Catch up with old friends and business colleagues while enjoying current fashion and beauty trends, tasty foods, and raising funds for Community Care’s programs and services.

Proceeds from Handbags for Health will go towards Community Care’s many services, such as specialized transportation vans, the community dental clinic, subsidies for transportation, Meals on Wheels, adult day programming, Hospice Services and more.

Though Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes does receive some outside funding, the reality is that many of its programs need to be funded or require additional funds.
