Free ‘White Lightning’ shopping bus is back

By Lindsay Advocate

The so-called White Lightning shopping bus will be striking the same places again — and even other new locations.

Owned by Pauline Kiely and Michael Bryant, the bus is set to resume April 30. Those without a vehicle who need to travel for shopping, medical appointments, family visits or an event may be interested in this service, which is completely free, thanks to sponsors from the business community, individuals, and volunteer ambassadors. It is not connected with any municipal transit or agency.

The service will travel between Oakwood, Little Britain, Lindsay, Cameron, Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon and Omemee. There are plans to add Pontypool, Janetville and Bethany shortly.

Look for bus schedules in towns and with local media. If you would like to be a community volunteer ambassador to promote this in your community call 705-340-9880. Visit www.whitelightningbus.tours.
