Social media influencer, Michelle Ferreri, entertained a packed Small Business Week breakfast for the Lindsay and District Chamber of Commerce.
A Canadian vlogger and content creator, Ferreri was a former CHEX TV personality but moved and adapted her brand to the Internet in 2014 and never looked back.
Launched in 2014, her site is all about “being a good person and having fun doing it,” according to her website. It zeroes in on parenting, beauty, fashion, philanthropy, and more.
Ferreri spoke to local business people about their need to be on social media in order to grow their business, including the need for regular engagement with their customers.
Membership in the Chamber is up 25 per cent, according to Lindsay and District Chamber of Commerce, President Mike Perry, and he noted how many new initiatives the organization has undertaken on behalf of small businesses.
This includes offering skills-based workshops in response to listening to what members said they need. Also in response to member demand, the chamber has offered a local workshop on diversity and inclusion, says Perry, among many other initiatives.
