Fenelon Falls senior citizens’ club celebrates 50th
The Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club celebrated a significant milestone in June, commemorating 50 years of club operations and service to the community, according to a media release.
Attending the celebration was local MPP Laurie Scott who presented to Jean Smith, the longstanding club president with a 50th Anniversary congratulatory scroll. Scott also drew the winning grand raffle tickets. Congratulations were extended to all prize winners: 1st prize of $3000 cash ~ Anne Kulmala, who was in attendance to receive her prize, 2nd prize of $1500 Sobeys gift cards ~ Chris Handley, 3rd prize Dinner/Theatre Combo ~ Jan Craig Worrall, 4th prize tree/planting Rockwood ~ Heather Hume, 5th prize Gift certificate KATVA ~ John Ireland.
This summer, the club looks forward to welcoming increased participation and engagement with community groups and individuals, interested in sharing this amazing venue and community facility. However, keeping the club going is an ongoing effort, including raising much needed funds.

The Seniors Citizens’ Club of Fenelon is a not-for profit, registered charitable organization with its entire operating budget coming from club membership fees, fees from club activities, donations, rental contracts, and fundraising activities.
