Employee retention challenges? This event is for you

Local business peers are coming together to discuss the challenges employers face in the hiring and retention of an employee, a must-attend event for local employers.

Hosted by Kawartha Lakes Small Business and Entrepreneurship Centre and Strike Point Bowling in Lindsay, the event will be held at Strike Point and feature a panel discussion, speakers, good food and a fun break.

Matthew Savino will deliver a keynote speech on Human Resource Essentials. This will lead into a panel discussion facilitated by The Lindsay Advocate’s Roderick Benns and ZeroIn Consulting’s Dennis Geelen.

The panel members will be comprised of Candace Buckley from the Days Inn, Manju Asdhir from Kawartha Care, Kristen Jilisen from Cable Cable and Tim Groen from British Empire Fuels.

They will be discussing the challenges and successes they have had in their businesses over the years. There will be also be an opportunity to ask your own questions about employee retention and the hiring process in a Q & A session at the end.

What resources do you use to post job ads? What interview questions help you find the ideal candidate? How do you keep your employees interested and engaged?

Rochelle Pickering will also be on hand to discuss employee engagement through wellness initiatives.
