Disqualified driver of dirt bike arrested

A constable with Kawartha Lakes Police Service who was on patrol observed a dirt bike without license plates being driven in the area of Glenelg Street east in Lindsay yesterday.

When the officer followed and attempted to stop the dirt bike the driver fled from police.

The driver of the dirt bike was located and arrested a short time later.

Now, 25-year-old Mason Stata of Lindsay has been charged with two counts of driving while disqualified, flight from police and failing to comply with the conditions of a probation order.

The male will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 22.
