Design project for Glenelg Street

By Lindsay Advocate

The City of Kawartha Lakes is undertaking a design project for the reconstruction of Glenelg Street East between the limits of Lindsay Street and Water Street in Lindsay. The works are to include new sidewalk, curb and gutter and underground utilities including storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain.

The first phase of construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Spring 2018. As part of the planning, the public is invited to attend a drop-in public information centre. This has been scheduled to provide the public with an opportunity to review the project, discuss any issues, and receive input and comments from the local residents.

Representatives from the City and the consulting engineer will be on hand to receive input and comments. The public information centre will be held next month from 4–6 pm (drop-in), Oct. 4 at City Hall, Victoria Room, 26 Francis St., Lindsay.
