College Community Choir spring concert
For their spring concert on April 21, the College Community Choir, led by Melissa Stephens, is singing a medley of songs on the theme of flowers and gardens, including favourites such as Pete Seeger’s “Where Have All The Flowers Gone,” Robbie Burns’ “My Love Is Like a Red Red Rose” and “For The Beauty of The Earth.”
The Choir will also be introducing lesser known fare such as “A Flower of Beauty” and “Les Fleurs et Les Arbres,” a song that will demonstrate the choir’s dexterity in the French language.
Special guest, classically trained soprano, Kristen English, is the featured soloist.
Concert time is 2 pm at St Paul’s Anglican Church on Russell Street in Lindsay. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children and are available from members of the choir or at the door the day of the concert.
Members of the audience are invited to join the choir for refreshments afterward in the church hall. More information at 705-328-0558.
