‘Christmas in July’ at the new Purple Door in Kirkfield

By Lindsay Advocate

It’s Christmas all year at the Purple Door  Craft and Christmas Store.  Inspired by the Frankenmuth, Michigan tradition across the border, Anna decided to open her store in Kirkfield to extend the idea here.

Christmas in July will be held from the 25th to the 29th from Noon to 4 pm at her 1718 Kirkfield Road location with 5 per cent of the sales being donated to Camp Kirk. Camp Kirk was established in 1993 and is dedicated to serving children from all over the world who have various learning disabilities. Camp Kirk provides a safe physical, social and emotional environment with well-trained staff.

Everything Christmas-themed will be available from various coloured Christmas trees, a unique selection of ornaments, wreaths and more.

There will be free candy canes, mint tea, coffee, ice cream and snacks. There will be a draw ballot for gift baskets and gift certificates with each purchase. The final draw will be on July 29 at 2 pm and Santa will visit July 28 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
