‘Bunny’ opening tonight at Lindsay Little Theatre
From one of Canada’s boldest playwrights comes an intimate look into the sexual life of a young woman as she struggles with the power of her desires. Directed by Logan Gerzymisch and starring Sandra Hallford in the lead role, Bunny opens tonight (March 15) at Lindsay Little Theatre.
Bunny is by Canadian playwright Hannah Moscovitch and is about Sorrel, a young woman who is often torn between desire and what is deemed right by society. The play follows Sorrel through her various relationships from high school up to adulthood. Sorrel goes through many different relationships with these various men she meets in her life, but the one relationship that really sticks for her is her friendship with a girl named Maggie, who she meets in university. Maggie is the one person who just wants Sorrel to be who she is without shame, and their love ends up being the central relationship and focus of the show. The play is beautifully moving, with moments that will make audiences laugh, cry, and cry from laughing so hard.
Bunny runs March 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24, with all performances getting underway at 7:30 p.m. The play is geared towards audiences of 18+ due to sexual and mature content. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the show’s listing on Eventbrite.
