Building security camera catches domestic assault
A 44-year-old Bexley Township man has been arrested and charged with assault after a William Street building’s security camera’s captured it on tape.
Earlier this week Kawartha Lakes Police were provided with a copy of a building’s video surveillance that showed a man and a woman involved in a domestic quarrel.
The quarrel escalated to the point where the man kicked the woman and then pushed her to the ground. The assault was observed to have taken place Oct. 14. After reviewing the tape police were able to identify the man and woman involved.
He was arrested this week and charged with assault, failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with a recognizance to keep the peace.
He appeared for a bail hearing at the Lindsay Court of Justice earlier this week.
