Police respond to industrial accidents

On Wednesday Feb. 21 Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded with Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service to two separate workplace accidents.

Shortly after 9:30 am police were called to attend a business on Little Britain Road in Lindsay after a delivery person suffered an injury to his hand.

The injured man was taken to hospital by Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service with minor injuries.

Later the same day, at 12:45 pm police attended a Mary Street West business for another workplace injury.

Officers learned that a man’s arm was injured in an auger, however the injured man was able to free himself prior to the arrival of first responders.

The injured man was taken to hospital by Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service.  Kawartha Lakes Police guarded the scene of the accident on Mary Street West until a representative from the Ministry of Labour attended to investigate further.
