Summer is just around the corner, and Kawartha Lakes has eight weeks of Summer Day Camp Fun planned for children ages four through 12.
The Little Explorers Camp for children ages four and five is returning this year. Along with the Junior Explorers and Sports Camp options running July 2 through August 23, there will be many opportunities for activities and summer fun.
New this summer is the Junior Lifeguard Club Camp for ages eight through 12. This Camp will focus on strength, endurance and leadership skills through extra aquatic training as well as First Aid training.
Other specialty camps offered throughout the summer include Aquatic Stew, Swim Lesson Camp and Golf and Hockey Camp.
Many Camps include special events and trips including visits. Among the highlights this year will be trips to Balsam Lake, Cedar Park, Bubble Soccer and a visit from Walter the Guitar.
Camp fees range from $31.50 daily to $185 per week. Registration begins on Monday May 6.
