A free, four-speaker event will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on Wednesday, Aug. 21, sponsored by the Haliburton Kawartha Lakes Brock NDP.
The MC for the evening will be NDP Candidate Barbara Doyle. Speakers include:
- Jeanette Woolley on Housing issues and Preventing Homelessness.
- Durka Prout (NDP candidate from London North Center and co-chair NDP Women’s Committee) on ‘Women in non-traditional roles.’
- Deanne LeBlanc (PhD in Indigenous studies) on ‘What roles Non-Indigenous might play in the new De-colonization.’
- Julie Hayes (Spinal Cord Injuries Ontario) on Accessibility Issues.
The Legion is located at 12 York Street N. The event is from 6-9 pm. This is a free event but seating is limited. A light buffet will be served, with purchased refreshments available from the Legion.
