Awesome digital resources through Kawartha Lakes Library system

By Lindsay Advocate

While the Kawartha Lakes Public Library has currently suspended in-person services, the system still has a lot going on in order to support members of the community at this time.

The digital library is available at all hours of the day, with apps to read books or magazines, listen to audiobooks, watch movies, and listen to music.

If you do not currently have a library card, you have the option to register online for a free one. This provides temporary access to the digital library for three months.

If you had a blocked account due to fines or fees, the block has been temporarily removed so that everyone is able to enjoy access to the digital library.

The library has also started a web page where they are posting links to free virtual learning activities for both kids and adults, including virtual story times. Our library staff have been having tons of fun creating virtual story time videos for families to enjoy from home.

Finally, all loans have been extended until April 14, and all holds will be kept until that time as well.

Follow their social media accounts, @kawarthalibrary, for up to date information and visit the website www.kawarthalakeslibrary.ca to gain access to all of these free resources.
