Arson suspected in early morning fire

During the early morning hours of Friday April 20 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service, along with City of Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service responded to a suspicious fire at an Adelaide Street south property in Lindsay.

Shortly after 3:30 am a witness observed a man throw a burning object under a parked vehicle at an Adelaide Street South residence.

The witness last observed the man as he walked west on Roosevelt Street.

First responders were contacted and arrived in time to extinguish the fire before it fully engulfed the vehicle.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is actively investigating this incident.
