“Finding a little joy is going to be more critical than ever for children, youth and families this holiday season,” says  Amy Terrill, executive director at BGCKL. “Bright lights, seasonal trimmings, comforting traditions, and gifts of kindness will be more meaningful than in years past. At BGCKL we hope that our holiday campaign and social media challenges generate a little excitement and lots of smiles in households throughout Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough.”

The rules are simple; limit 1 entry per person per category, contestants must use the appropriate hashtag and tag BGCKL in their post, and all content must be family friendly and adhere to the Club’s mission and core values.

The contest closes Dec. 13 at midnight and winners will be selected through a random draw. Winners will be contacted on the following days via social media.

The Christmas tree category will be drawn on Dec. 14, holiday baking will be drawn on Dec. 15, act of kindness will be drawn on Dec. 16, holiday home decorating will be drawn on Dec. 17 and family Christmas pyjamas will be drawn on Dec. 18.

Winners must respond by midnight of their corresponding prize day to claim their prize, and they will need to correctly answer a skill-testing question. Winners will be required to sign the BGCKL media release. Once confirmed, their names will be shared on social media.

“From us to all of you, we wish you joy and happiness this holiday season,” adds Terrill. The Club looks forward to seeing the community’s Christmas spirit.
