Alzheimer Society can help with support

By Lindsay Advocate

Do you or someone you know suffer from memory loss, mood changes, or other impacts of dementia? Contact the Alzheimer Society to get the support you need.

We provide connections to medical professionals, classes for coping with the impacts of dementia, and social networks so you never have to feel alone. Contact 705-878-0126, or you can email , or visit online at alzheimer.ca/pklnh

In March, we plan to offer our Minds in Motion program in Lindsay. This gentle exercise program for people living with dementia and their care partners helps build strength and balance so they can remain independent in their homes and active in the community.

Combined with cognitive challenges and social interaction, MiM slows the progress of dementia and builds bonds with others.

For more information or to help us meet our $5,000 goal, contact Jenn at  or 1-800-561-2588.

We support people with dementia, their care partners, family members and other community members in Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Haliburton. Contact us if you need support, wish to volunteer, would like to donate, or are looking for more info.
