Advocate wins Media Excellence award for second year in a row

The Lindsay Advocate won the Media Excellence award at the Lindsay + District Chamber of Commerce’s annual Awards of Excellence.

Nominations are judged by a panel outside of our community, composed of chamber of commerce professionals across North America.

This is the fourth award for the Advocate in its four-year history. Last year the local, fully independent media company also won the Media Excellence award and the year previous it picked up New Business of the Year. It also won an Innovation award through the Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation.

The Advocate’s award was sponsored by Ward Legal.

The awards’ presenting sponsor was Cogeco, which also filmed the event. These awards are presented annually by the LDCC, with support from multiple local business sponsors.

All residents, businesses and organizations within Kawartha Lakes and any LDCC members are eligible for nomination, but chamber membership is not required. The 2022 awards are now open for submissions.
