Lindsay quilters raise over $11,000 for Autism Assistance Dog Guide

By Lindsay Advocate

The Lindsay Creative Quilters Guild is donating $11,119.25 to the Lions Foundation of Canada for the Autism Assistance Dog Guide program so that an autistic child residing in the City of Kawartha Lakes can receive a guide dog.

Monies were raised through the sale of raffle tickets prior to their spring quilt show and through generous member monthly donations.

Larry and Tina Boudreau along with Larry’s Seizure Response Guide Dog, Frida, accept the cheque on behalf of the  Lions Foundation from Guild Members Morell Branton, Quilt Show Chairperson, Linda Atkinson, President, Norma Gorrill, Quilt Show Co-Chair and Evelyn Northover, winner of the raffle quilt.
