100 Women Who Care raise $15,000 for Victoria’s Quilts’ local chapter

The Kawartha Lakes Chapter of Victoria’s Quilts is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous donation of $15,000 from 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes. Executive members Pam Dermedy, Carol Ann Gallant, and Sandi Evans had the pleasure of presenting the donation to Victoria’s Quilts representatives Vicki Gowan, Elizabeth Plewes, Donna MacDonald, Judy Atkinson, Carolyn Bergin, and Jennifer Simpson.

Victoria’s Quilts is dedicated to providing handmade quilts to individuals battling cancer, offering both physical comfort and a sense of solidarity during their challenging journey.

The donation will be allocated towards essential resources such as fabric, thread, postage, mileage, gift cards, ribbon, gift bags, and the rental of the sewing room, enabling Victoria’s Quilts to continue their valuable work.

To date, 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes has donated $345,000 to support local charitable organizations, making a significant impact within the community.
