Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign lasts only one week, but the impact of its fundraising support touches lives long into the future.

The Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation is grateful to Nick and Meaghan Chapman, owners of five Tim Hortons restaurants in Lindsay, for selecting Ross as a partner charity during the spring Smile Cookie campaign that ran from April 28-May 4.

During the campaign, when patrons bought Smile Cookies, they were supporting critical hospital projects, including the expansion of the community’s emergency department and ICU, advanced diagnostic technology and bedside medical equipment.

This week, RMH Foundation board chair Mona Malcolm Sharman visited Tim Hortons to celebrate the success of the Smile Cookie campaign with the Chapmans and Mark and Nancy Hutchinson, operations manager and general manager.

“To everyone who made a point of visiting one of Nick and Meaghan’s restaurants and buying a Smile Cookie knowing it’s for a good cause … thank you,” said Sharman. “You might wonder how much impact a cookie can make, but together, as a community, we can make big things happen for our local hospital. With every gesture of generosity, you make a difference.”

Together, the Tim Hortons team presented a cheque for over $21,000 to help fund several significant investments underway at the Ross.
