Kawartha Art Gallery receives funds from Canadian Heritage for their Music Series
Kawartha Art Gallery is proud to announce that it has received support from Canadian Heritage through the Canadian Arts Presentation Fund (CAPF) to present a year-long series of four concerts celebrating creativity, community, and collaboration.
This funding allows the gallery to expand its Music Series, bringing high-quality live performances to residents of Kawartha Lakes and strengthening the gallery’s role as a hub for accessible cultural programming. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to fostering vibrant arts experiences that bring people together.
As part of this year’s CAPF-supported lineup, the gallery will present a festive holiday concert on Dec. 14 featuring members of the Kawartha Lakes Concert Band. Held in the welcoming space of Celebrations Lindsay, the afternoon will offer a joyful program of seasonal favourites from their clarinet choir and brass ensemble, creating an inviting and family-friendly way for the community to enjoy live music during the holiday season
“Kawartha Art Gallery is thrilled to have received financial support from Canadian Heritage for our Music Series. This series of concerts plays an important role in the community, filling a need for different styles and genres of music that might otherwise not be presented. We are especially excited to be featuring members of our local Kawartha Lakes Concert Band, an organization that like the Gallery continues to show off local talent and give back to the community. We hope many of you will join us for this festive event,” said Susan Taylor, executive director of KAG.
Kawartha Art Gallery is grateful for the support of Canadian Heritage and looks forward to sharing a full year of musical experiences with audiences across the region. With this CAPF funding, the gallery continues its commitment to offering diverse and engaging programming that strengthens community connections and celebrates the arts.
